Frankenweenie - Trailer

Disney and Tim Burton show off some new footage of the stop-motion black & white 3D animation.

Frankenweenie is a story of a boy and his dog that transcends the borders of life and death after an accident takes Sparky the dog away from a young boy Victor. This is actually a remake of a short film Burton made in 1984. Looks promising.

Taken 2 - Trailer

Liam Neeson is back in the sequel to the movie that made old men fighting cool again.

This time however the tables are turned as the family of the bad guys he killed in the first movie are out for revenge. His daughter has to help him out in this movie.

Dredd - Trailer

First footage for the 2000 A.D. Judge Dredd movie starring Karl Urban as the judge, jury and executioner himself.

The audio and video quality is poor - looks like it's ripped off TV - but it seems that Urban has captured Dredd's signature gravely voice quite well. I'm not going to comment on special effects until I see a better quality version of this and shall reserve judg(e)ment until then.

If you're wondering, the music in this Dredd trailer is Skream's remix of Le Roux's In For The Kill.

Storage 24 - Trailer

I do like Noel Clarke movies and I've been waiting for a trailer for this British horror sci-fi for a while now - somehow it sneaked past me a month or two ago.

A military cargo plane has crashed leaving its highly classified contents strewn across the city. Completely unaware London is in lockdown, a couple who have recently broken up are at Storage 24 dividing up their possessions with some friends. Suddenly, the power goes off. Trapped in a dark maze of endless corridors, a mystery predator is hunting them one by one. In a place designed to keep things in, how do you get out?

Resident Evil: Retribution - Trailer

Milla Jovovich is back again as Alice, in Capcom's big screen adaptation of the famous video game.

Loving the opening sequence of this, with everything all nice and serene in suburbia, and then it all goes tits up. Good to see Michelle Rodriguez back too. The CGI looks a bit over the top as usual. The monster looks a bit crap. Fingers crossed this is as good as the others.

Django Unchained - Trailer

First look at Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film starring Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio and Christoph Waltz.

I haven't really been keeping tabs on this as I don't believe Tarantino has done anything good since Pulp Fiction - with the exception of Inglorious Bastards - but I'm pleasantly surprised by this trailer. DiCaprio looks exceptional in his role as the bad guy, and there are going to be some classic one liners. "Gentlemen, you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention." At this rate, Christmas cannot come soon enough.
